If I like Cormac McCarthy will I like William Faulkner?

I like them both, very much. Finish "Blood Meridian" - if you like it, you can read any Faulkner with confidence. Remember also, that Faulkner has some very accessible books like "As I Lay Dying" or "Light in August" and more difficult ones like "Absalom, Absalom!" It's the same with McCarthy. You can gradually develop your taste for their stylistic experiments by reading their more traditional work.
