Do you agree or disagree with this essay why or why not? 10 points?

I don't know anyone who gives just a midterm and final exam as the only assessment. Do your teachers do this? There are other ways of assessing students besides tests- and most students hate "pop quizzes". My students submit assignments every week- responses to short answer questions, postings on discussion boards, entries on blogs, etc. I get the point of the article, but there's more sweeping need for change than this in any course that relies on two tests.
