Do you lean more toward idealism or realism?

I try to keep it balanced, but I'm an idealist. And I don't see a problem with it. It's fun and more likely to get you somewhere. Realism just drags people down with unneeded pessimism. Many people aren't inspired to invent or change the world based on realism. It barely gets you anywhere.
