Need book recommendations. Help is greatly appreciated!?

Most of these are good. I really like all the Poe, "The Lottery". Thurber is always funny. LeGuin is classic sci-fi, Williams is best known as a poet, Hawthorne is the oldest of the authors. You did not let us know what you like, hope this helps.
