Virginia Woolf, Charlotte Bronte, Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner, and John Steinbeck (to name a few) were amazing writers, legends, and innovators of their day. My question is: who are the crests of our time? Why are most do most of the best sellers pale in comparison to the greats? What makes someone a great writer? (It can't just be sales) and..Where is literature heading? (It seems to be far less important than it use to be)
