My depression is crippling?

My mother died last Nov. Since then I've been getting very ill, depressed, and no one understands. Don't get along with family, there's a lot of dysfunction there, can't depend on them. Husband withdraws when I am in trouble, the worse the trouble, the more he withdraws, or wants to help with tough love. I have exhausted all help from the community, no one can do any more for me. Meds don't help. I have multiple chronic conditions that cause lots of pain, which have worsened since mom died. I feel all alone. No one to understand, no one that I can go to for help. I feel like my only alternative is assisted suicide in Switzerland.

Serious college troubles! Please help me!?

For this semester I have been taking this advanced English 1130 class along with a Math class while being on Academic probation. The English 1130 class can prepare anyone for University and I've been told by many at my campus that it is a very difficult course to pass. However, I have no intention of going to University and I have all the requirements of the Early Childhood education program that I want to apply for in September. I have been working to the best of my effort and studying hard but I have been getting "C-'s" and got one F on an assignment. I also took the midterm exam and don't know what mark I got for that yet. Today, I found out from my dad that he finally admitted to me that the only reason he wanted me in the English 1130 class is for me to get out of the house all day so that he and my mom won't have to deal with me. I got real angry and stressed about that. I have not told my parents about my academic probation and since the withdrawal date is coming up I'm seriously thinking of withdrawing from English 1130. The odds for me to pass this course seems very slim and if I don't withdraw I could very well risk failing the course and end up in Academic Suspension for a whole semester and I don't want that. Even if I do withdraw from the class, I can possibly avoid suspension but also have to tell my parents about the withdrawal. I told my Dad about the marks I've been getting in my assignments and he says to me to just keep going; try my best with the course and even if I don't pass I can still learn something from it. But that won't cut it with the campus administration and registrar's office if I failed the course because they will still suspend me. I've also talked with an academic advisor and a counsellor about this and they are no help. I even get help from the learning centre and still get these crappy grades in the class. With my campus, it seems that the right hand does not know what the left is doing so I'm getting mixed messages from everyone. I know this is long but can someone (ANYONE) help me with this difficult situation that I'm in? Please note, I'm 21 also and have a severe learning disability; ADHD; asperger syndrome which makes it difficult for me to understand things so that is a real real setback for me and I'm under a time limit with my parents saying to me that we will be moving from the house in 2 more years and once those 2 years are up, we will move and they will not let me live with them in the new place wherever we are going to live. Can anyone please help me??

A question for fantasy/romance writers?

I know I spend more time on Planet Fiction than I do on Planet Realty... but I love reading realistic fiction because I at least know somebody out there has the same thoughts and feelings as i do- and I think that makes everybody feel like they;re not a loser. When are we going to get another Crash Bandicoot?

The last proper Crash game came out in 2008 and was on the PS2 and 360 and it wasn't particularly well received. No game after Crash Team Racing has been made by Naughty Dog and they've been on a steady decline in quality ever since. I don't think that there's a good chance they're going to revive the series. Naughty Dog is too busy working on Uncharted and no other company has done a particularly good job with the games.

Yeah I'm bored. But I'm seriously wondering. Most of my life I hung out with my friends 24/7 and summer was NEVER boring. Literally I never got bored. I didn't realized how lucky I was to be surrounded by friends I could visit and chill at their house everydayl. I don't get y ppl applaud Dickens Joyce Proust but frown on long sentences?

The king of long sentences in my book (no pun intended) is Charles Dickens. not only Dickens, but Marcel Proust, James Joyce, William Faulkner. They wrote sentences that sometimes went on for pages at a time. What i don't get is that I'm writing a novel and the first chapter has been edited and one of the things my editor and teachers have told me is that the sentences are too long. NOT that they don't make sense, or that they are grammatically incorrect, but just that they are too long and there are too many of them. Now WHY can u pleaze tell me do we celebrate, LOVE writers like Joyce Dickens Proust Faulkner and yet discourage, and i would even say hate ppl like me who ENJOY using long sentences???

Ok... when i was 17 years old and did something extremely stupid!! i hung around with the wrong crowd and i stole someone credit card.. i withdrew �300 out of the cash machine, anyways... an hour later i was sitting on a park bench looking at the money and broke down in tears! i realised what i did was so terribly wrong and i phoned the police.. when they turned up i confessed everything! US Army 11B question?

I'm thinking about enlisting in the Army in about a year or so and was wondering what I would actually be doing as an Army infantryman. I want to get 11B infantry and a slot in an Airborne unit however I heard as an 11B your basically a glorified janitor. I heard that you clean the halls, pick up trash and clean up dirt. I just want to know if I'm an Airborne infantryman in an Airborne unit will I actually get deployed and fight the enemy and use the infantry skills I learn in OSUT and Airborne school or will I just sit around all day cleaning and being a janitor. I know war isn't like videogames and movies however I would like to deploy and fight and do what I actually trained for.

As an introvert myself, I know exactly how you feel... I have to be working toward something, or earning something and if I'm not I don't feel like doing anything at all because it's simply not worth it. I read that schizophrenia typically is diagnosed to people in between the ages of 20 and 25, who have previously had an onset of other mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Why am i getting these strange headaches?

I attended a school program and half way through, I'm in the process of withdrawing, The school I'm attending is a popular tech school and will not return my money. My program was $25,000 and my in school payments were $400 since December of 2010 till May of 2011. Only one I read was War and Peace. Beast of a book. I only read it at work. I work midnight shift. I took me over 3 months. Can say with PRIDE I finished it. And, it is more than long. I have lost feeling of my existence, what should I do?

I sense that I don't have strong feelings towards anything. For example yesterday something bad happened and my family was upset and i should have been upset too, but i wasn't. I didn't care! Can I take summer college courses w/o starting college yet?

I will be a freshman in Rutgers University starting this fall so my question is can I take summer courses this summer before I actually start college? The problem is that I accidentally registered for a course without consulting my academic advisor. Basically the course starts tomorrow and I am afraid that I will pay over a thousand dollars for a course that will not benefit me much at the end. Also I didn't even pay the tuition so isn't that supposed to automatically take me off the course or do they add it to my yearly bill. Im only allowed to play videogames for an hour a day?

I am 13 and I'm on summer break right now. My family isn't going on vacation because i play summer baseball. I do summer reading for my school and I do my chores and I help out around the house a lot.(When I mean a lot, i mean like 3 hours a day.) the person I am describing is sometimes distracted, you have to repeat things. He is very preoccupied with doing the right thing and very preoccupied about taking care of his little brother, he is serious and seems to be always thinking. He sometimes says things that are a little weird. Headaches and gets stressed easily, i notice when he is acting weird his pupils get really big. Heartbroken re decision made?

My 18 year old son has had mental health issues for many years namely due to horriffic sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of his bioligical father & grandfather. Since he chose to file charges with the police, his biological father committed suicide, his grandfather was called to trial but the prosecutors felt there was not enough 'evidence' to take it to trial & in the publics best interest to withdraw all charges from the grandfather so he got off scott free. I have had my son in multiple private hospitals seeking the best of psychiatric care for the last two years since he left school. He is addicted to drugs, pain medication, marijuana, you name it. He has attempted suicide a multitude of times & last night was the final straw in that he terrified my 3 year old son (his step brother), myself & his step father by indicating we were at harm & to lock ourselves in our bedroom throughout the night, that he cut himself up with a knife across his arms & legs & my fiance had to wrestle a large carving knife from him. We had police come to the house, he had a seizure in front of them & the ambulance arrived to take him to hospital but he walked out of there today as our mental health system in Western Australia is pathetic, they release mental health patients at the drop of a hat. We have told him many times previously that we cannot keep putting up with him living under our roof with his addictions that he doesn't seem to want to address & he is scaring his little 3 year old brother so he has to move out. I am heartbroken telling my own child he is not welcome in our home. He told me today we don't care about him, we don't love him, we only love his little brother, he is our only son & he is going to kill himself & we will have his blood on our hands. I have for years tried so many hospitals, psychs, taken so much time off work jeopardising my job trying to help him, I recently secured him a job & we thought things were going well but he took days off on drug induced illness. I can't help but feel guilty about our decision to have him look for crisis accommodation. I have tried to intervene & help him do this today but he told me to stay out of his life. What happens when you go to court?

Need a little more info so I can pass it along. I know someone that has been charged with a crime. He went for his first appearance and was told what the charges were, possible sentences and released on a signature bond. His next court date is next week and he has tried to hire a lawyer and a family member is willing to pay for it, the only issue is they wont have the money until AFTER the court date. Since the next appearance is when he would have to plead guilty, not guilty or no contest, is he SOL or not? He isn't guilty of what he was charged with, just being stupid and naive is more of what he is guilty of. Well, lets put it this way, he deposited a check and the bank told him that it would place a hold on it for 5 days I think it was, on the fifth day they said funds were available so he went to the bank, withdrew some money and the next day the bank let him know the check was fraudulent. Anyhow, getting back to my original point, if he pleads not guilty and the judge sets another date for trial, is there still time for him to hire a lawyer?

I have this weird feeling when i get up from just being chilling?

I don't know anyone who gives just a midterm and final exam as the only assessment. Do your teachers do this? There are other ways of assessing students besides tests- and most students hate "pop quizzes". My students submit assignments every week- responses to short answer questions, postings on discussion boards, entries on blogs, etc. I get the point of the article, but there's more sweeping need for change than this in any course that relies on two tests.

Yeah you probably should get a degree in Computer Science if you want to write other kinds of software and not just design games. You can take all of your generals and lower division CS courses at a comm. college, they are usually very cheap. The only downside is your GPA from there will not transfer to the university, but if you are a good student you can get a good GPA in your upper division classes at the state university and will have saved a boatload of money.

Well you're not completely socially awkward. I don't have lots of friends either but the close ones I do have are top quality, and I'd rather have that. First things first, you need to get some really close guy friends. And if you're about to whine about not having any close guy friends I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT. Take some initiative and stop feeling sorry for yourself being all cooped up in your house. Just call up some guys and hang out. Watch a football game, kick around a soccer ball, watch a movie at one of their houses, go get icees at a gas station, etc. Just do whatever it takes to get closer to a couple of other guys. It'll be good for you and for them, I promise. Second, go out with your friends - it's not "gay" to go out to eat with other guys or even see a movie with them. Besides, that's where you meet girls. Third, when you see a group of girls that interests you, just talk to one of them. Talk to them about food, about movies, just talk about anything. Some examples of conversation starters are "I've never been here to eat before, what do you think of the food?", "I heard this movie was hilarious, what do you think?". You don't even have to start out with an awkward "hey..." just flat out say what's on your mind and most often, the girl will at least have an automatic social reflex of responding. After that, just try your best to keep the convo going. If it ends up being a dud, don't sweat. You're young, you've got plenty of time to hone your "talking-to-girls skills". Best of luck! :)

Enlisted tend to have a higher chance, but truly both are about equal for being deployed. I know the Marines used to be manditory that you had 3 6-month tours of Iraq, but now that there is the withdraw that is going down. Honestly, your chances of being shipped of Afghanistan are very low. Very few people are being sent there. Now, i'm not saying you won't get sent there, i'm just saying its unlikely.

The Catcher in the Rye is brilliant, in my opinion. Thought-provoking and certainly "worthwhile", but also an easy read and hugely entertaining. I was really intrigued by the concept of As I Lay Dying at one point, but I'm about halfway through it right now and finding it quite hard to get any further... try at you own risk, I'd say. From your link, another favourite of mine is Jane Eyre, and although I haven't read it yet, I've had some friends recommend Brave New World. Since you're already considering it though, The Catcher in the Rye is my suggestion :)

I have sent a formal letter to the filmmakers withdrawing the agreement but they say they still have the rights to the story and will continue with the project. My concern is that they are using my story without a valid agreement. The agreement was signed in 1996 to produce a documentary film but nothing has been done since. There is no sight of a completion date. The agreement has expired on three occasions and had not been extended. When I complained that it was taking too long to make the film they agreed to add an addendum stating that If the film was not completed within nine months of signing date that I would have the right to contact other filmmakers interested in the project. But they have now said that I cannot do this as it would complicate the work they have already done even though they had agreed I could. They have said on one occasion that if I didn't cooperate with them they would continue with the project and that I would not be paid any money when the film was completed. I don't understand why they did not extend the agreement when it had expired.I have correspondence and agreements and would be thankful for some help in checking these. I'm a pensioner and unable to employ a solicitor. I also have a bad hearing problem and don't use the phone. Hope you can help. Thanks.

I've found several black writers I like for example the short stories of Ralph Ellison, and I like some of Walter Mosley's books. I’m Feeling Depressed?

Hi my name is Rhyan and I’m 19years old…and I feel like my life sucks… I’m currently unemployed (no job)… I don’t have my driver’s licenses and I’m living with my mom & younger brother… I was living on my own for a while but my landlord started to charge me way more money then I could afford... I had to move out… my social life has slowly faded away as I got older which lead me to become very depressed… I use to have a few guy friends in elementary school and my early high school years but they have moved on obviously. I have never in my life made friends with a female… I have never had a girlfriend… I have never even had a full conversation with a girl… I don’t even know how to approach a female and ask a question or engage in a friendly conversation… it’s really hard for me. I tend to freeze up & sound really stupid. (I know it’s pathetic) I’m supposed to go to collage in September of this year & I pray that I would make some friends there like I did in my previous schools. Why hasn't he asked me out yet?

So it has been a month now that I talk to this awesome guy that I really like, we went out twice only but we're always in touch, we can't spend a day without texting to each other or chattin. Cab driver unable to withdraw from credit card?

Hello, my dad is a cab driver and he recently dropped off a passenger in San Juan CA. The passenger gave his credit card to my dad but he couldn't withdraw at that moment because his credit card machine in his cab had a low signal. So when he tried to withdraw the money from the credit card number from a closer location after the passenger left, the machine declined. My dad still has his name and number but the visa card company won't release any info about the passenger.
